Here are a few Fall landscaping ideas that you can try with your yard.
1) Add Fall colors to your shrubs & vines – Adding Fall colors into your landscape will allow for a more Autumn feel. Fall colors are gorgeous and when incorporated right with your lawn, they look even more gorgeous. A few colors on shrubs, vines, and bushes include: red chokeberry, Virginia creeper, sumac, viking black chokeberry, fothergilla, and tor spirea.
2) Tall grasses – Tall grasses withstand the cold winter weather, so you won’t have to maintain much once Winter rolls around. They’re actually basically maintenance free all year ’round. They come in a variety of colors, plumage, and heights… so there is tons of different grass to choose from.
3) Pumpkins/Hay – Turning your lawn into an Autumn festival won’t be too hard if you add a few props. By placing two bales of hay at the end of your driveway (on both sides), that will add just a small touch of Fall flare. You could place pumpkins or assorted fall colored flowers into the hay stacks to add a more personal touch. Place pumpkins randomly throughout your yard or around your porch to show that you’re ready for the festive season ahead!
